Our mission
Who we are
Builders Choice is a building brokerage helping Australians navigate their home‑building journey. With teams in Perth and Melbourne, we connect you with 30+ vetted builders and guide you based on your goals, location, budget and lifestyle.
Share your brief and we’ll shortlist the builders worth your time, saving you time and money. Think of us as a mortgage broker, but for building. Whether it’s your first home or an investment, we support you from start to keys.
Our story
Where we started
Builders Choice began when Lachlan, Brennan and Alistair three Perth locals, noticed a real gap in the building industry. People were making one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives with limited choice, mixed advice and no clear way to compare builders.
Builders Choice was created to give people more choice in the builders they could access — making the process clearer, timeframes more transparent and costs aligned with clients actual budgets.
Why Builders Choice
What makes us different?
Building a home should feel exciting & we are here to make that happen. We help you explore your options, understand the process and make confident decisions about your build so you don't have to.
We're here for more than just finding a builder. Whether you're comparing designs, exploring house and land opportunities, understanding finance or looking for a second opinion, we're the team you can turn to throughout the journey.
We're not builders, developers or lenders. Our role is to represent your interests, bypass all the noise, and find a solution that genuinely suits your circumstances.
The building industry can be complex. With experience across building and property, we help simplify the journey, uncover opportunities and avoid common pitfalls that can cost time, money and stress.
We believe trust is earned through honest conversations. That's why we're upfront about pricing, inclusions, timelines and expectations, giving you the clarity to make informed decisions.
Our goal isn't simply to help you build a home. It's to become the trusted team you think of whenever you need guidance, support or advice about building, property and what's next for your future.

Everything you need to know about using Builders Choice to find your builder match.
A building broker is your independent guide to choosing a builder. Instead of building homes ourselves, we compare leading builders across Perth and Melbourne and match you with the one best suited to your budget, block and build — giving you unbiased advice and saving you time, stress and costly mistakes.
Using Builders Choice is completely free for you. We’re paid by the builders in our network when we make a successful match — but because we only ever match you on what’s right for your build, our guidance stays unbiased.
We don’t build homes and we don’t favour anyone. A match is only a good one if it’s right for you — so that’s the only thing we optimise for. We’re upfront about how we work, and you’re always free to walk away.
Definitely — that’s exactly who we’re here for. Most people build only once or twice in their lives. We explain everything in plain language and guide you to the right builder.
No. Whether you’ve got a block already or you’re still looking, we can help — and matching you with the right builder early can make the land and design decisions much easier.
The easiest first step is the Builder Tool or a quick, no-pressure chat. From there we’ll tell you exactly what happens next — no commitment required.
Step into your build feeling informed, supported and in control.
